Turmeric Contains fiber, protein, niacin, vitamins C, E, and K, sodium, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Medicinal properties are attributed to it against cancer, high cholesterol or osteoarthritis, among other diseases.
Turmeric is a herbaceous, vivacious, rhizomatous spice. The main rhizome is fleshy, ovate, pear-shaped (round turmeric), once prepared, it has an aroma reminiscent of ginger and a burning and bitter taste.
